Secti on of'. the Electronics Branch, Technic_al A:Qalysis Division.\nIn s:pite of thls 11.::nited staff, as weLle as several changes or proJect •\nofficer, the project records appear to be up-to-date.\nATIC personnel\nno longer conduct field investigations of UFOB sightings (these are\nrequested from USAF intelligence officers C9priroarily Air Defense\nCommand and Airways and Air Communications ServiciJ nearer to the\na j ghtings), but confine their activl tiea .to receiving and checking\nreports as received; requesting a.ddi~ional field investigation where\nnecessary, pe.rfcnning necessary checkine against meteorological,\nast~omical, aircraf t, and b.alloon data, and record.lug their findings\nand honclusions in a cross-referenced system by date, location, source,\ntJ~e ·or observa.tioo and conclusion drawn.\nThe Aerial Phenomena Section\nalso deals directly ~1th the Public Information Office of Hq., USAF,\nre~ing 1nfo:rma.tion for public release.
