   "text": "- 1 of 3 ­\nFD-302 (Rev. 5-8-10)\n-\nFEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION\nDate ofentry\n04 .\n/2024\nin\n-\n.\n, was intervi ewe\nAgent\n, s\n-\n-\n-\n· -\nwas referred to the FBI by ~ After being advised\nof the identity of the interviewing Agents and the nature of the interview,\n-\nprovided the following information :\n-\nstated that starting in October 2023, a l ot of pilots have been\nseeing the same event occurring, namely seeing lights in the sky.\nPilots\nhave been discussing the events over\nPil ots\ntypical l y saw them between midnight and 3 AM.\n-\ndid not know if the\nevents occurred at that time because that was when it was dark enough or if\nit was because that was when the l i ghts were present.\n-\nfirst observation of the lights occurred in October 2023.\n­\nwas flying from Boston, MA to Dublin, Ireland where he saw the l ights in the\nnortheast towards Gander, Canada.\n-\nwas at an elevation of 37,000 feet\nand believed the lights were hi gher than him, probably at 50,000 feet or\nhigher .\nThe lights were white in color, would start out as dim, and get\nbri ghter before they eventual ly faded out .\nThe fu l l cycle of the lights\nwould range from 10 seconds to one minute.\nThe l ights looked like airpl ane\nlanding lights, but -\nknew that it was not them, nor did he think it was\n-\nInvestigation on\nby\nThis document contains neither recommendatiollll nor conclusions of the FBI.    "text": "FD-302a (Rev. 5-8-10)\nContinuationofFD-302of ■ Interview of -\n__________ ,On\n03.\n/2024\n,Page\n2 of 3\nStarlink, Starlink flares, satelli tes, or meteors.\nI t ranged between one to\nfour lights at a time in the sky .\nSome lights did not move, while others\nmoved in straight lines, someti mes changing direction, and typically did not\nmove in a coordinated fashion.\nSince spotting the lights the first time, -\nhas seen them\napproximately ten times .\nAt times the lights would disappear for mi nutes\nbefore returning.\n-\nhas seen the lights for 45 minutes up to two\nhours .\n-\nhas seen the lights in all directions except for towards the\nsouth.\n-\nsaw the lights three times in the direction of North Dakota\nwhile flying to either Seattle or Phoenix.\nHe has also seen them off the\nwest coast and mid-Atlantic coast.\n-\nd i d not know how far away they\nwere but ventured the y were between 200-500 miles away.\n-\nnever saw the\nlights below the horizon and had not heard about them prior to October 2023 .\nDuring a trip on February _\n, 2024, -\nwas able to capture video on\nhis Samsung Galaxy S22 phone an event involving white lights.\n-\nstated\nthe lights were brighter in-person than on the camera, and the lights were\nsimilar in elevation to him or were slightly higher .\nThe video is filmed\nfrom the cockpit of his aircraft with the lights turned off .\n-\nwas\nlocated approximately 150 miles northwest of Minneapolis, Minnesota and was\nflying towards the east.\nThe lights were seen towards the north in the\nNorth Dakota region at around 4:36 AM Eastern Standard Time on a clear\nnight .\n-As captured on the video, white lights were seen , sometimes ten or more\npresent at once, moving around in straight lines and getting\nbri ghter/dimmer.\nAt the 3:27 mark i n the video, -\nwas not sure if two\nof the lights were really close together or if it was a single light with a\ntail.\nAt the 3 : 47 mark, -\ndid not know if it was three separate\nlights .\nAt the 5:22 mark you can see the flight panel, showing that the\nairplane was traveling at approximately .80 Mach, and that the airplane was\n40- 50 miles northeast of Sioux Fall s and coul d see the KFSD airport on the\nradar.\n-\nnever felt unsafe from the white lights, and did not believe\nthe lights were within 100 miles of him .\nA thi rd event that -\nwitnessed occurred back i n June 2002.\nWhile\nas a reservist , -\ngot activated to go to Afghanistan.\nOne\n-"

   "text": "FD-302a (Rev. 5-8-10)\n-\nContinuationofFD-302of ■ Inter view of __________ ,On\n03.\n/2024\n,Page\n3 of 3\nnight he was outside looking at the stars with another pilot.\nAt\napproximately 4:30 AM local time, -\nnoticed that the stars were getting\nblacked out over Bagram.\nIt appeared as if something huge went overhead,\nfrom west to east, and was an equilateral triangle shape.\nThe object was\nmoving silently, at a consistent speed and altitude , possibly 150 knots ,\nwith no lights visible.\n-\nestimated it was 500 feet in size, but he\ncould not fully see the shape of the object.\nThe other pilot with ­\nalso observed the triangle, and when it passed over stated, \"did you see\nthat?\" -\nstated he did not further discuss the sighting with anyone\nelse nor did he hear anyone else discussing the sighting.\nLooking through the data, -\nnever found information that could explain what he saw in Afghanistan in\nnot aware of anything that would explain what he had seen.\nOverall, -\nbelieved that not a lot of discussions were happening\nopenly about the events with the lights .\n-\ndid not think there was as\nmuch sti gma surrounding these events, but people were just not used to\ntalking about it.\n-"
